My Approach

I work from a relational, client-centred approach that values the skills, perspectives, and experiences that individuals and families bring to their meetings with me.

I embrace an integrative approach to therapy drawing on various evidence-based therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT and EFFT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as applications of attachment theory and mindfulness practices.

Adolescent Therapy

Navigating adolescence and early adulthood can be difficult. These chapters come with a lot of uncertainty and decision-making about identity, schooling, career, and relationships. It can be both overwhelming and exciting. I work with youth and young adults to better understand and navigate their emotional and psychological wellbeing.

I have experience supporting young people struggling with:

  • Anxiety & Depression

  • Stress related to school and peers

  • Friendship & Relationship Problems

  • Family Conflict

  • Loss

  • Identity Issues

  • Abuse & Trauma

Family Therapy

Every family is unique and comes to therapy with strengths and challenges. I work in collaboration with parents and children to strengthen and build on their experience of connection and communication. I work mainly from an Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) foundation in my work with families. I also provide parenting support and consultation to parents and caregivers who may be uncertain about how to help their loved one or child.
